Care Team

The Very Best Care from the Very Best People

Compassionate. Capable. Energetic. These are the top three qualities we look for when adding to our team of award-winning caregivers. It takes a special person to be a top-notch caregiver, and we believe our clients deserve only those caregivers possessing special qualities such as patience, understanding, respect, and good listening skills, someone we would feel comfortable with in our home.

We also care deeply about the quality of care we provide, and ensuring that we build a sense of trust with each client we serve. Live Free Home Health Care is a nurse-founded agency that provides nursing oversight for its caregiving staff, which adds a level of education and expertise to care planning and caregiver supervision/training.

Our Hiring Process

All our caregivers must pass an in-depth interview and screening process, which includes a criminal background check, DMV record check, as well as a State Registry for abuse check. In addition, caregivers must also pass a drug screening prior to employment.

Once hired, our caregivers complete an orientation program, ongoing continuing education requirements, as well as supervised visits to ensure quality control. All of our employees have experience with the elderly and are given training in infection control, body mechanics and Alzheimer’s care. Many of our caregivers are licensed by the state as Nurse’s Aides. This means they have completed a state accredited program for providing care as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). They must pass a state competency exam as well as maintain ongoing continuing education to renew their LNA license.

Finally, for your protection and peace of mind, all our caregivers are fully employed by Live Free Home Health Care, which means they are bonded and insured by us.

Our Nurses

Our team of nurses provides ongoing assessments and direction to our caregivers, ensuring each client’s plan of care is followed and continually updated. Through both phone calls and visits with the client, our nurses ensure any medical issues are addressed promptly. Our nurses also coordinate with each client’s primary care provider regarding the care that is being provided, keeping family members apprised of updates.

Finding the Right Caregiver for You

Finding the right caregiver can make the home care process so much easier and enjoyable for seniors. During the initial client assessment, we match each client to the caregiver that would best suit his or her needs and personality. We want every client to feel comfortable with his/her caregiver(s) and always work promptly regarding any client’s concerns so that satisfaction and quality care can be achieved.
